Environment

MoS acknowledges the importance of supplying clients with work of a consistent and high standard within an environmentally sound framework.

It is our policy to:

  • Minimise waste, emissions and effluent discharges, and ensure that unavoidable waste is, where possible, recycled or disposed of responsibly.
  • Foster a sense of responsibility for the environment within the organisation with the provision of information wherever available.
  • Assess, monitor and, where possible, reduce the impact of our activities on the local and general environment.
  • Take account of the environmental impact of all raw materials and processes used by our suppliers and where possible take steps to minimise this through strategic evaluation and planning.
  • Maintain systems to set and monitor objectives and targets; identify deviations from the stated policy and implement appropriate corrective action.
  • Advise customers where appropriate on the best environmental practices associated with the storage, use and disposal of the company’s products.
  • Ensure that all print suppliers are at least FSC accredited and comply with the necessary legislation.
  • Use paper stocks which are at least 50% post-consumer waste, with an intention to increase this to 100% over time.
  • Maintain electronic systems for workflow, scheduling and invoicing (e-systems) in preference to paper-based systems.
  • Ensure that all sub-contractors and suppliers act in accordance with this policy.
  • Strive continually to improve our environmental performance and prevent pollution.
  • Comply with all relevant Environmental Legislation.
