{"id":176,"date":"2012-07-25T12:16:33","date_gmt":"2012-07-25T11:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ministryofsoftware.co.uk\/?page_id=176"},"modified":"2012-07-26T09:09:59","modified_gmt":"2012-07-26T08:09:59","slug":"environment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.ministryofsoftware.co.uk\/?page_id=176","title":{"rendered":"Environment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MoS acknowledges the importance of supplying clients with work of a consistent and high standard within an environmentally sound framework.<\/p>\n<p>It is our policy to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimise waste, emissions and effluent discharges, and ensure that unavoidable waste is, where possible, recycled or disposed of responsibly.<\/li>\n<li>Foster a sense of responsibility for the environment within the organisation with the provision of information wherever available.<\/li>\n<li>Assess, monitor and, where possible, reduce the impact of our activities on the local and general environment.<\/li>\n<li>Take account of the environmental impact of all raw materials and processes used by our suppliers and where possible take steps to minimise this through strategic evaluation and planning.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain systems to set and monitor objectives and targets; identify deviations from the stated policy and implement appropriate corrective action.<\/li>\n<li>Advise customers where appropriate on the best environmental practices associated with the storage, use and disposal of the company\u2019s products.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all print suppliers are at least FSC accredited and comply with the necessary legislation.<\/li>\n<li>Use paper stocks which are at least 50% post-consumer waste, with an intention to increase this to 100% over time.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain electronic systems for workflow, scheduling and invoicing (e-systems) in preference to paper-based systems.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all sub-contractors and suppliers act in accordance with this policy.<\/li>\n<li>Strive continually to improve our environmental performance and prevent pollution.<\/li>\n<li>Comply with all relevant Environmental Legislation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MoS acknowledges the importance of supplying clients with work of a consistent and high standard within an environmentally sound framework.
